Application Now Available for 2023 Young Artists' Competition

The Jackie McGehee Young Artists' Competition has released the 2023 Application, which is available at musicguildofnewmexico.org.

Competition Dates: Friday, Feb 10 and Saturday, Feb 11, 2023

Friday's competition will feature some incredible young pianists playing solos or concerti.

Saturday will be the Strings portion of the competition, which is open to Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, and Harp.

The first-place winners in piano and strings will perform with the New Mexico Philharmonic. Contestants will also compete for $10,000.00 in cash prizes, and the prestige of adding to their performance resume. Other prizes may be awarded as available.

With limited seating in the concert hall at Robertson & Sons Violin Shop in Albuquerque, the competition will also be live streamed via The Jackie McGehee Young Artists Competition YouTube channel LIVE on the days of the competition.

The 2023 Approved Repertoire can be viewed online for applicants to begin selecting a performance piece.

The application process can be completed online, or a PDF of the application can be downloaded, completed offline, and then mailed as indicated on the application.
